Architectural Glazing Upgrades
A typical sequence of deterioration:
- Air pollution staining - according to location seal shrinkage, accelerated ingress and contamination.
- Water etching - from ponding on transom lines.
- Opener failure - misalignment and lubrication deficiency.
- Restricted drainage - backfilling of internal drainage water.
- Sealed unit failure - erosion of the seals to double glazed units.
- Major internal water ingress - from any of the above defects.
- Fixed fatigue - weather damage to flashings and cappings.
- What can start as a relatively minor degradation can result in permanent damage and premature failure in as little time as a decade.
If your building is looking tired and old, leaking or just in need of some maintenance we can assist by transforming the external elevations to appear new. The works would typically include: New weather seals; new aluminium glazing caps supplied in a colour of your choice; new associated rainwater goods; weather flashings and infill panels. Combine these restoration works with a complete clean and overhaul of the building's glazing and we can achieve impressive results with the exterior of the building appearing new and fresh.
All works are supported by detailed method statements and risk assessments inclusive of comprehensive construction sector insurance policies. Not only do we include for glazing system training within our program but all operatives are Health and Safety trained to CITB (Construction Industry Training Board) standards. Many of our operatives are also trained in specialist access techniques including IRATA (Industrial Rope Access Trade Association), IPAF (Industrial Powered Access Federation) and PASMA (Prefabricated Access Suppliers' and Manufacturers' Association). All operatives attend regular refresher courses and Tool Box Talks are conducted by our Health and Safety Managers on all sites on a weekly basis.
Our costing system offers an impressive, competitive rate and all of our services are supported by a full survey, detailed method statements, risk assessments and guarantees. If you would like to discuss your Architectural Glazing project with a member of our team then contact us by clicking Here
