Central London Specialist High Level Glass Replacement

Glazing Refurbishment have just completed a large & bespoke high level glass replacement for a client in Central London. The works were conducted over the weekend during out of office hours in order to avoid disruption to the client's staff members and the offices below where the works were taking place.

The unit itself was a very specialist piece of glass that was shaped like a diamond. The glass also had a unique frit detail which increased lead time for the client. We were able to source the specialist glass by utilising our extensive network of European manufacturers. Due to the specification of the Glazing Unit, it was ultimately sourced from Central Europe.

Due to the size of the units coupled with the access restrictions on site, our team utilised the help of an on site crane in order to lift the units into position. An inline sucker was used to attach the until to the crane. The glass was then lifted up to the open aperture and guided into place by our specialist glazing operatives before they secured it into place and repeated the process for the rest of the units.

The final stage included a full clean down of the area and ensuring our client’s staff could go back to a safe and secure area, ready for the offices to open on Monday morning.
