Airport Hangar Refurbishment Works
5th April 2018
Glazing Refurbishment have recently been to conduct major glazing refurbishment works to a number of Engineering Hangars at Heathrow Airport. The first stage in the scope of works of this large scale project was to conduct a full survey of the existing structure to identify any cracked glazing panels which posed a Health and Safety risk to building occupants. Our IRATA Level 3 trained Rope Access Technicians negotiated the roofs of the hangars to carefully map out every individual pane whilst marking the defective panels requiring replacement.
With the scope of works agreed, our teams have commenced with works utilising a combination of IRATA trained Rope Access Technicians and internal MEWP’s to allow for a safe system of work.
We are currently in the first phase of the project with updates on our progress in the near future.
