Curved Glass Replacement

Glazing Refurbishment have this weekend completed the 7th floor replacement of a failed curved glazed unit at a prestigious Office building in Bournmouth.

Following a detailed site survey by our specialist high level survey team, exact sizes and specification of the glass, and framework were recorded and materials ordered.

Safety and speed of response being paramount in these situations, a safety film was applied to the inner face of the damaged unit to prevent further hazards to the building occupants whilst awaiting the new materials.

In this case special attention needed to be paid to the exact specification of the glass being curved and posessing a solar control tint, both of which needed to be an exact match.

Access to the damaged unit was by use of the on-site access cradle and alloy platforms, all cradle operatives will be secured via harness and lanyard fall arrest.
